How does Han Chang’s thermoset transfer press differ from a screw injection machine?

Han Chang’s thermoset hydraulic transfer machine uses a manually loaded, measured pot charge. The mold closes first, then an overhead plunger forces the compound through runners into the cavities for heat curing. Its core materials are transfer-grade phenolic PF and urea-formaldehyde UF compounds. It is not screw-plasticizing injection or an injection-compression process that charges the mold before final closing.

What is included in the material charge for each transfer cycle?

Allow for all molded parts, runners and the residual material in the pot, rather than multiplying part weight alone. Han Chang matches this total charge to the pot, plunger and mold. Actual capacity depends on the selected configuration; clamping tonnage is not a material-weight rating.

Should rubber, silicone, EVA and fiber composites use this same transfer press?

Start with their dedicated equipment routes: rubber or solid silicone injection, rubber or silicone compression, EVA foaming, and carbon fiber or glass fiber hot pressing. BMC/DMC transfer applications need a separate review of grade, supply form, pot, plunger and runners.
